Project Overview

Dirk Wales, an artist and author, has worked with us to design a site to promote his line of hand-crafted greeting cards. More art than greeting card these gorgeous works of collage, assemblage, and photography represent a lifetime of wonder, travel, and discovery.

The site was designed and developed with simplicity and ease-of-use in mind. We made use of a customized version of Lightbox and some homegrown scripting to present the various card series.

Users with more modern browsers never have to leave the page to place an order or view the larger images of the cards. Not wanting to leave anyone out we made sure the site works with older browsers and with Javascript turned off, you just won't see all the fancy bells and whistles.

The graphic design was carefully crafted to communicate Dirk's unique style and, as well as being influenced by his work, makes use of elements and art assets directly from his portfolio.
